User Consent Agreement

1. Introduction

This User Consent Agreement explains what you are consenting to when you use My Partner. By using the Platform, you explicitly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this agreement and our Privacy Policy.

By using My Partner, you consent to:

• Your relationship status being visible to users who search for your phone number
• Your profile information (name, photos, bio) being displayed in search results
• Your relationship history being viewable by other users
• Reviews and ratings about you being publicly visible

This disclosure is the core purpose of My Partner - to provide transparency and prevent infidelity.

2.2 Dual Approval Process

You understand that claiming a partner requires dual approval via OTP verification from both parties. By entering an OTP code, you explicitly consent to being in a relationship with the claiming party.

3. Consent to Phone Number Usage

3.1 Phone Number Collection

You consent to providing your phone number for verification purposes. Your phone number will be:

• Used to verify your identity via SMS OTP
• Used as your unique identifier on the Platform
• Visible only to you and your active relationship partner
• Masked from public view (e.g., +123****890)
• Searchable by other users to find your profile

3.2 SMS Communications

You consent to receiving SMS messages from My Partner via Twilio, including:

• OTP verification codes
• Relationship claim notifications
• Important account alerts

Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of non-essential notifications in your profile settings.

4. Consent to Data Processing

4.1 Personal Data

You consent to the collection and processing of:

• Authentication data (name, email via OAuth)
• Phone number and verification status
• Profile information (photos, bio)
• Relationship data (status, history, dates)
• Reviews and ratings (given and received)
• Usage data and analytics

4.2 Photo and Media Storage

You consent to your uploaded photos being stored on AWS S3 and displayed to other users as part of your profile and relationship history.

4.3 Automated Processing

You consent to automated processing of your data, including:

• AI-powered content moderation of reviews
• Automated notifications and alerts
• Analytics and usage tracking

5. Consent to Third-Party Services

You consent to your data being shared with the following third-party services:

• Twilio - For SMS OTP delivery (phone number and message content)
• AWS S3 - For secure photo and media storage
• OAuth Providers - For authentication (name, email)
• Database Providers - For data storage and management

These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection agreements.

6. Consent to Notifications

You consent to receiving notifications via:

• SMS - OTP codes, relationship claims, critical alerts
• In-App - Relationship updates, review notifications, system messages
• Email (if provided) - Account updates, security alerts

You can manage notification preferences in your profile settings, but some notifications (like OTP codes) are essential for Platform functionality.

7. Consent to Reviews and Ratings

7.1 Receiving Reviews

You consent to past partners leaving reviews and ratings about you. These reviews will be publicly visible to users who search for your phone number.

7.2 Posting Reviews

By posting a review, you consent to:

• Your review being publicly visible
• The reviewed person responding to your review
• Your review being moderated (manually or automatically)
• Your review being removed if it violates our Terms of Service

8. Consent to Content Moderation

You consent to My Partner moderating, editing, or removing content (including reviews, photos, and profile information) that violates our Terms of Service or community guidelines. This may be done manually by moderators or automatically using AI systems.

9. Consent to Data Retention

You understand and consent to the following data retention practices:

• Active accounts - Data retained indefinitely while account is active
• Ended relationships - Relationship history retained for transparency purposes
• Reviews - Reviews remain visible even after account deletion
• Deleted accounts - Some data may be retained for legal compliance

10. Consent to International Data Transfers

You consent to your data being transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

11. Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time by:

• Deleting your account - Removes your active profile but may retain some data
• Opting out of notifications - Manage in profile settings
• Contacting support - Request specific data deletion or restrictions

Note: Withdrawing consent may limit or prevent your use of the Platform. Some data (like reviews) may remain visible even after withdrawal.

12. Minors and Consent

My Partner is not intended for users under 18 years of age. By using the Platform, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to provide consent.

13. Changes to Consent Terms

We may update this Consent Agreement from time to time. We will notify you of material changes and request renewed consent where required by law. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated agreement.
